stamping

Stamping encompasses a wide range of processes. Stamped parts can be bent, coined, sheared, punched, and blanked among others. Advantages of stamping include quicker manufacturing time. Materials available for stamping include plastics, not just metal sheets.

Terminal stamping/progressive stamping

Stamping is not limited to punching a work piece once. Progressive stamping allows more complex parts to be made through a feed system and multi-station die. The feed is advanced very precisely, which results in a completed part at the end of the process.

Fine Blanking

Blanking processes have exceptional consistency and dimensional control for high volume production. Typical materials used include steel and aluminum. A higher cost of tooling usually accompanies this process but the advantages in flatness and control are well worth it.s
